I’m talking about The Keller Pointe! The Keller Pointe offers a variety of services including swim lessons,
splash pads, lazy rivers, water playgrounds, athletic programs for both adults and youth, group exercise
classes and personal training. You can take advantage of an annual membership, monthly membership
or if you just want to check it out- a day pass. They have something for everyone! It’s located in the
heart of Keller, just off of Rufe Snow Dr.
Party Like a Pro
Where are my hostess with the mostest moms at?
I so envy you. I on the other hand am a self-proclaimed good intentioned Pinterest fail kind of Mom. You
know the kind with great ideas, poor execution and immediate regret. The way I look at it, hosting is
like any professional sport; some are built like a brick house and born for it and some of us are better at
cheering them on and eating stadium nachos. (Maybe you fall somewhere in-between)
That being said I was so excited to find out that our local recreation center, The Keller Pointe, does
birthday parties!!!! Let that posse of pizza and sugar fueled tots take all that crazy next level excitement
and super human party energy there. It’s affordable, fun and not in my living room!
You get a private room, food, drinks, cake, balloons, party favors, access to the indoor and outdoor pool
and you can even have your littles favorite princess or super hero make an appearance. Best part is
THEY DO IT ALL.
Swim ‘Till You Drop
Dylan (3 years old) has been doing swim lessons there for two years; the facility is always clean and you
can tell safety is a priority (a must for me) plus he has loved all his instructors. They have an indoor pool
area for lap swim, free swim, water slides and a toddler area as well as an outdoor waterpark for the
summer and swim classes for all ages.
Pretend You Still Got It
My husband has participated in some of the rec basketball leagues they offer for adults. They make it so
easy. He and his dad bros signed up together. I wouldn’t exactly say they were the A team in fact, I’m
pretty sure they finished last every single season and there may have been a time where they played a
junior league team (pre-teens) for fun and got their middle aged butts kicked! But they had a ton of fun
being able to play in league together.
May the Gains Be With You
The main facility is a gym and they have a kids club called Stay N Play so I can take Dylan with me. He
can play, do activities, burn off some energy while I get a little “me time” in to burn off some calories. I
can pump some iron (yeah, right), take a Barre class or just put in my earbuds crank up the gangsta rap
and hit the treadmill.
